In a now long forgotten world, many generations ago, a bird like shape emerged from wooded darkness, floating and fluttering, drifting and dreaming. Backlit by a bright glow of iridescent light, the undecipherable form wore a dazzling golden mask. Its long beak swooped down like an inverted horn and since then, people have referred to the mythical being simply as Claptone...

FELMAN

MATT THE HOUSE FOX

The beginnings of Circoloco at DC10 back in Ibiza 1999 could hardly be more humble. At a virtually unknown location, the iconic Monday morning session started a clubbing revolution that make an enduring impact on the shape of modern club culture. Since then, the ubiquitous Crazy Clown face has travelled around the world as a beacon of the party ethos of Circo Loco, becoming a symbol for the underground spirit of dance music culture and the most copied clubbing imagery ever. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Barely spending any time under the radar, Circoloco at DC10 was already the hype party by 2001 and the international press was soon declaring it the essential must-do of any Ibiza visit. A no-nonsense, back to the old skool vibe of how dance music should be, with Italian promoters Andrea and Antonio using word of mouth and solid principles of free or cheap entry alongside an unrivalled forward thinking music policy, it changed the story of what clubbing could, and should, be all about.

It was unprecedented in Ibiza or anywhere else since the days of the Paradise Garage or the Summer of Love in the UK. People were quite literally going crazy at the Circoloco events, there was fancy dress and people sitting down in clubs and a deafening roar every time the bass dropped or a plane went past and everyone, but everyone, shared a deep love for the music. These are the factors that have always set Circoloco apart as a guiding light for electronic music

Such is the power of Circoloco that DJs of all genres of dance music would play for free or, better still, offer to play and be refused. The sound of Circoloco has slowly evolved and developed through paths of association with tribal and minimal, but has always held the truest values of house music at its core. The careers of Circoloco resident DJ’s like Tania Vulcano, Luciano and Loco Dice are indelibly intertwined with the buzz around their Monday afternoon sessions at DC10. Now, the New Era rips up the rulebook once again and sees a new generation of future heroes attempt to stamp their claim as the next Circoloco legend.

Circoloco is amongst the most sought after party brands in the world and has multiple residencies around the world at the foremost temples of dance music as well as at leading festivals and conferences on all continents. It’s Monday sessions at DC10, despite well documented problems over the years, continue to go from strength to strength and is rightly regarded as a true Mecca of clubbing in the world today.

Ocean Trax was born in the end of 1996 with the releasing of ‘Take me over’, the first House of Glass’s production that was originally produced by Gianni Bini, Paolo Martini and Fulvio Perniola with the collaboration of the great vocal singer Judy Albanese, one of the most popular house vocalist of those times. The single was released even in the UK under Minisrty of Sound with special remixes by Mark Picchiotti. After this Gianni and Paolo decided to continue their adventure in music business releasing the HOG follow up single ‘Do Whatcha Feel’. A few months later, they gave the label a big impulse in the house scene in Italy and Europe with the publication of the single ‘Dancing with you’ by Bini&Martini with the voice of Romina Johnson (already featured on Artful Dodger and Goosebump singles..); the record was released in UK, under Azuli (one of the most respected record labels in the dance scene) , and in the rest of Europe after it’s remix by Full Intention .

Ocean Trax and Azuli decided to be in partnership for some years with a record deal that helped Bini&Martini and their record label increase their popularity in England and not only. As a matter of fact in 1999 the first Eclipse single ‘Makes me love’ reached the UK top 20 sales chart and sold more than 70.000 copies only in UK. Not only: in 2000 the singles ‘Disco Down’ by HOG feat Giorgio Giordano, ‘Soul Heaven’ by The Goodfellas and Soul Povidrer Rise were licensed in the whole world under the best house labels and reached the top position of the ClubandSales chart everywhere.

This brings Bini&Martini to the top level as producers and remixers, and major labels ask them to put their hands on tracks and do remixes for the biggest names in music like Jocelyn Brown, Kilye Minogue, Jamiroquai, Backstreet Boys and Gabrielle , and these are just a few. Their remix of ‘Love Foolosophy’ won the ‘Italian Dance Awards’ for BEST REMIX of the year 2002.

In this moment OT is one of the best reputed and respected record labels around Europe…..

For any DJ and bedroom producer, the ability to “hustle” is often the most underestimated, yet most important factor in determining whether they will fade out or successfully make their mark on the industry. Good hustle is the epitome of both the man and monumental career of international DJ, Roger Sanchez. From humble beginnings in New York City, diggin’ in dusty crates of old vinyl and spinning at house parties in Corona, Queens, to dominating huge dance floors and headlining festival main-stages in every corner of the globe, Roger is truly a self-made man and a house music legend.

The crafting of Roger Sanchez, the DJ, started in the late 80s, where as a young man he was enticed by the explosion of hip-hop that was taking over the city. Embracing the culture as a b-boy and graffiti artist, he would hit parties on the Bronx River and before long, his friends had him trying his hand on the wheels of steel. In a time and place where hip hop, house music, and “turntablism” all collided in a perfect storm of creativity, opportunity, and sick beats, Roger seized his moment and began to build his empire on vinyl and slip mats, starting with a few singles and expanding into a massive collection of over two thousand original productions and remixes.
Releasing music under a multitude of monikers, including the S-Man, Roger S., The Nu- Solution, Underground Solution, DV8, Ego Trip, El Mariachi, The Funkjunkeez, Tribal Infusion, Twilight, and Transatlantic Soul, just to name a few, Roger has been able to maintain the essence of his sound, his flavor, his “sabor”, if you will, while still using each alter ego as a tool to expand on various fresh and experimental sounds. Each one of his multiple music personas have allowed him the opportunity to defy the mainstream and travel out to the far reaches of the musical galaxy, collecting depth, wisdom, and perspective along the way and applying them to his future endeavors in innovative dance music sounds, allowing him to remain fluid and cutting edge across decades.

So many successful endeavors would have never been possible without a rock solid work ethic, something that Roger prides himself on. From the very beginning, he was a dedicated crate digger, searching for obscure samples and break beats in influential NYC record stores like Rock & Soul and Vinylmania. His infallible work ethic, paired with the strong foundation of art and culture that he gained from the Pratt Institute’s School of Architecture took control of the wheel as his passion for music expanded, driving him to start hustling mixtapes on the sidewalks of Broadway in order to finance his earliest gigs. With the encouragement of his father, an engineer, Roger abandoned his plans for a career in architecture and decided to devote all his efforts to his music.

The Maestro Gianni De Luise leads you daily to deep house music discovery with his expert mixing. 24 hours a day you can follow the Maestro lessons and experience with him the magic sounds of deep house music.

Deep house is a subgenre of house music that fuses elements of Chicago house into the 1980s jazz-funk and touches of soul music. In the early compositions (1988—89), influences of jazz music were most frequently brought out by using more complex chords than simple triads (7ths, 9ths, 13ths, suspensions, alterations) which are held for many bars and give compositions a slightly dissonant feel. Later deep house tracks (1993—94) were also heavily influenced by disco and even merged into a disputable disco house genre.
The use of vocals became more common in deep house than in many other forms of house music. Sonic qualities include soulful vocals, slow and concentrated dissonant melodies, smooth, stylish, and chic demeanor.
In NETWORK SATELLITE, you can listen to the evolution of this genre.

Christophe Le Friant began DJing in the 1980s under the name Chris the French Kiss. During this time he was more influenced by hip-hop and jazz music and created music projects such as The Mighty Bop and Reminiscence Quartet, this one with an ensemble of musicians. Le Friant used the alias Desmond K in the Reminiscence Quartet.

Le Friant adopted the new name of Bob Sinclar in 1998 (hero from the film Le Magnifique). He became known for popularising the "French touch" of house music with heavy use of sampled and filtered disco strings. He describes his musical style as inspired by "peace, love, and house music".[2]

In the 2000s, Several of Sinclar's songs have become international hits, being particularly popular in Europe. Some of his most popular hits include "Love Generation" (2005, with Gary Pine) and "World, Hold On (Children of the Sky)" (2006, featuring Steve Edwards). In 2006, Bob Sinclar received the TMF Award Best Dance International (Belgium). In 2006, he released the song "Rock This Party" under the label Defected Records. In 2008, Bob Sinclar along with Steve Edwards released a song called "Together".

In the 2010s, Bob Sinclar is a very prolific music producer. In 2011 he released a song with the Italian vocalist Raffaella Carrà called "Far l'amore", a remixed version of Carrà's song "A far l'amore comincia tu". In 2013, he released a single called "Summer Moonlight". In 2015, he collaborated with Dawn Tallman for a track entitled "Feel the Vibe". In 2016, he released the track "Someone Who Needs Me" under the label Spinnin' Records. Also with Spinnin' Records, he released a collaboration with Akon entitled "'Til the Sun Rise Up". In June 2018, he released a single called "I Believe", that was very popular, particularly in Italy and Europe.
